Extra Extra, Read All About It! Climate Change Threatens the Globe

Ever wondered where all your necessities came from besides H.E.B or Target?  Truth is that about half the populations freshwater comes from mountains! Countries without mountain lands depend on this freshwater for irrigation and other functions the most. Mountains as it is are already exposed to risks so imagine when climate change is involved, we will begin to notice a increase in natural disasters threatening the people that live in those areas. Now don't freakout people! there are steps some countries took to alleviate this that "begin with preparedness and ends with recovery"(Kohler2). Mountain countries developed nations with very low levels of industrialization meaning those people had to rely on their adaptations now. At the global level, the united Nations started a "Clean Development Mechanism"(Kohler4
) but unlike them smaller nations have not seen any benefit from this leaving room for re-evaluating. At a national and regional level, a copious amount of different countries have ruled out experiments to help determine how climates change and how effective it is. They found out through these trials that living with adaptations and managing resources such as how they store their water especially those populating mountain lands have a better chance at putting a halt on climate change and more natural disasters.
